SHAWINIGAN — Maël Lavigne had a goal and two assists as the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada rallied for a 5-4 win over the Shawinigan Cataractes on Friday night in the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League. Théo Lemieux, Justin Carbonneau, Vincent Collard and Torkel Jennersjo also scored for Blainville-Boisbriand (12-5-2), which leads the Western Conference with 26 points. Derik Brouillard made 20 saves. Chad Lygitsakos, Jiri Klima, Noah McKinnon and Vince Elie replied for Shawinigan (7-5-3). The Armada trailed 3-0 when Lemieux scored at 7:40 in the second to cut into Shawinigan's lead. Blainville-Boisbriand then scored four times in the third period to go up 5-3. CALGARY — Connor Bedard had a goal and three primary assists to move within one point of the NHL scoring lead as the Chicago Blackhawks blanked the Calgary Flames 4-0 on Friday. Tyler Bertuzzi, with a pair of goals, and Andre Burakovsky also scored for Chicago (7-5-3). Coming off a season-high five-goal outburst in a win over Columbus on Wednesday, Calgary (4-10-2) returned to the scoring woes that have haunted the club most of the season. The Flames, who were held to one or fewer goals for the sixth time, are the league's lowest-scoring team at 2.19 goals per game. They also sit last in the NHL's overall standings. In a goaltending duel between former United States world junior hockey championship teammates, Spencer Knight made 33 stops for his first shutout as a Blackhawk and Calgary's Dustin Wolf had 23 saves. Knight improved to 6-3-2 on the season with his sixth career shutout. Wolf fell to 4-9-1. On the heels of his third-period hat-trick on Wednesday in Vancouver, Bertuzzi's opening goal 12:32 into the game gave him four goals in two periods. The score remained 1-0 until Chicago put the game away with a three-goal third. Takeaways Blackhawks: Frank Nazar left the game late in the first period after going down awkwardly after a cross-check from Joel Farabee. The 21-year-old centre is off to a terrific start in his sophomore season with 11 points (5 goals, 6 assists). Colton Dach fought Farabee after the hit that reduced Chicago to 10 forwards. Coach Jeff Blashill has been dressing 11 forwards and seven defencemen. Flames: With Kevin Bahl (undisclosed) unable to play, Calgary's blue line featured two rookies in Zayne Parekh and Yan Kuznetsov, who took Bahl's usual spot in the top four alongside Rasmus Andersson. It was a frisky game with blueliners MacKenzie Weegar and Joel Hanley joining Farabee as combatants in the game's three fights. Parekh (upper body) left the game after a hit from Nick Foligno. Key Moment The Bedard to Bertuzzi combination struck again at 1:11 in the third period to give Chicago a 2-0 lead. On a 2-on-1, Bedard sent a perfect pass across that Bertuzzi one-timed into the top corner. Key Stat Bedard's assist extended his scoring streak to seven games (6-9-15) and gave him 22 points (eight goals, 14 assists) through 15 games.
